Sand hills community choir holy days concert
During this season, The Rock opens its doors to all members of the Sand Hills Community of Augusta, Georgia to come to together in an open loving atmosphere to find the voices willing to lift high praise to the God of our salvation.
All ages can compete in a fun format for one of the 36 seats available to fill this community binding group of praisers.
The Holy Days Concert will be held at the church, recorded and live streamed so that everyone will know that the promise of a Messiah has been fulfilled. From the tiniest tots of 3 years of age to the most senior of saints, we will stand with the brothers and sisters of Christ from around the city and declare His birth and messages.
The Sprouts Choir will be composed of youth, 3 to 11 years of age. A parent or guardian must be present at Sprouts Choir rehearsals each Saturday 5:30 p.m., at The Rock. Seats in the 18-member Sprouts Choir is "first come/first seated" based on sign up. Send an email to Rockofagescmepastor@gmail.com or sign-up
or call the church for additional information (706) 738-6045.
The Chancel Choir will be composed of community members ages 12 and above. Competition to participate in this wonderful community celebration is based on a 3-week audition process. Each Saturday afternoon anyone interested in singing in the Sand Hills Community Choir Holy Days Concert will participate in an audition at the Rock of Ages. It's kind of like an Apollo Night (without the boos--only encouragement) or Karaoke singing. It's designed to be fun for the whole family. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall, sing some standards and see who really has the Spirit of joy that will lift the praise atmosphere for all.
Choir space is limited to approximately 36 members, due to seating availability.
The payoff is huge. When we come together as community in Koinonia, God is pleased. His Son, Jesus Christ is glorified. And all who hear are blessed!
praise
All worship in The Rock brings forth Praise Prayer and Prophecy. We know God is pleased when we praise Him. We pray that everyone will join with us in this season of Reformation to remember whose we are and give Him the glory of which He is well deserving.
